Dr. K.Kaliyaperumal is the Univesity Librarian of this prestigious University from 01.01.2009 to till date. He started his career as Assistant Librarian in Anna University, Chennai from 03.03.1989 to 31.07.2001 and joined University of Madras in 01.08.2001 as Deputy Librarian. After 7 years of working experience he became the Librarian in the University of Madras - the mother of almost all the old Universities of south India. He has published articles in journals of international and national repute and successfully guided Ph.Ds in Library and Information Science. He administers the Madras University Libraries system and also works closely with the University's information officer and faculties to ensure that the libraries are fully contributing to teaching and research initiatives.
