Dr S Baskaran is Assistant Librarian in the University of Madras. He obtained M. A (History), MLIS, and PhD (LIS) from the University of Madras and M. Phil (LIS) from Alagappa University and holds PGDCA. His M.Phil research was on “Multiple Intelligences among Library and Information Science Students: A Case Study” and his Doctoral research was, “Analytical Study of Multiple Intelligences and Information and Communication Skills among the Students of LIS Schools in South India”. He has participated, presented papers in both the National conferences and International Conferences. He visited Malaysia and presented paper in the “6 th World Congress of Muslim Librarians and Information Scientists” in 2011. Besides, he has contributed articles in the edited volumes and published in both the National and International journals. He has attended a number of workshops, training programmers, short-term Training courses and seminars across the country. He is a Life Member of ILA and MALA.
